Blue Ocean – Starting from rustic batches of pottery…
In the world of luxury resorts, beauty comes not only from architectural design or luxurious amenities – but also from the smallest details, such as a hand-painted picture, a handmade ceramic plate or a relief with the breath of indigenous culture…
In Vietnam, there is a business that is quietly shaping the "artistic language" in such spaces, and that is Blue Ocean.
In the early 2000s, Blue Ocean was just a small family-owned pottery workshop. While the Vietnamese ceramic market mainly served domestic consumption or simple export models, the family's small production facility boldly invested in making artistic ceramics for export to Japan, the US and Europe. It was the demanding orders from the international market that trained Blue Ocean's team of craftsmen in technical thinking, discipline and the ability to perfect products at the highest level.
In the following years, realizing the strong growth of domestic tourism and the increasingly high-class demand for resort space, Blue Ocean decided to "shift" from export production to developing decor specifically for the domestic hospitality industry.

In 2015, Blue Ocean Group Joint Stock Company was officially established, turning a small ceramic factory into a reliable partner of a series of high-end hotels and resorts across Vietnam. While many industrial production facilities chase quantity, Blue Ocean still steadfastly goes in the opposite direction, pursuing handmade, unique, emotional ceramic products with its own mark. From crackle-glazed ceramic vases, antique tea sets, to ceramic washbasins with sea fish motifs - every product is both highly applicable and like a "living work of art".
Currently, Blue Ocean owns two key brands: Gia Nguyen Decor and Gia Nguyen Ceramics. Gia Nguyen Decor specializes in designing and manufacturing paintings, reliefs, statues and decorative items according to unique concepts for hotels, restaurants and resorts.
Gia Nguyen Ceramics – develops high-end handmade ceramic products for restaurants and hotels, with traditional firing and manufacturing techniques combined with modern aesthetics.
All are produced in their own workshop, by the hands of skilled artisans and painters, helping Blue Ocean strictly control quality and creativity.
…become the “soul keeper” for each resort space
What makes Blue Ocean (BLOC Group) different is not only the products but also the way the business breathes life into every decor detail. Each painting, each statue, each ceramic item is personalized according to the design concept, with diverse materials to match the unique spirit of each project - like an artistic symphony written specifically for that space.
Thanks to its gentle, sophisticated, soulful aesthetic and ability to adapt to local cultural spaces, Blue Ocean has made its mark in hundreds of resort villas, 5-star resorts, international hotels and unique boutique hotels from Phu Quoc to Da Nang, from Hanoi to Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Vung Tau, Da Lat...

Blue Ocean has also become a partner providing decor and ceramics for large investment corporations such as KDI Holdings Group, BIM Group, Sun Group, Flamingo Group, Everland Group, TMG... - investors who own a chain of resort projects across the country.
One of Blue Ocean’s typical projects is Garrya Mu Cang Chai, or Grand Meliá Nha Trang Resort – a symbol of luxury resorts in Vietnam. Here, Blue Ocean was assigned to carry out the entire art decor system, from murals, composite statues to high-end ceramic details, blending contemporary design and Asian culture.
“We don’t just make beautiful products, we make each decor detail capable of telling a story – a story about identity, experience and emotion,” the company representative shared.
Aspiration to bring Vietnamese handicraft products to the global market
Not stopping at the domestic market, Blue Ocean is aiming for the long-term goal of becoming a strategic partner in the decor field of international hotel operating corporations such as Accor, Marriott, Best Western, IHG...
This is a strategic move to bring Vietnamese handicraft products to the global market, through 5-star hotel chains - where a ceramic plate or a wall painting can become a brand identity element and create a difference.
In an era where the hospitality industry is not only about service but also about experience, Blue Ocean chooses a challenging path: taking art as the core of development.

It is not only the art of the product, but also the art of listening to customer requirements; the art of spatial thinking and the art of balancing culture - function - aesthetics.
At Blue Ocean, each resort space is a living art exhibition – where handmade products not only beautify, but also tell the story of Vietnam in a subtle and unique way.
From a small ceramic workshop to a prestigious decor brand in the Vietnamese hospitality industry, Blue Ocean is a testament to perseverance, creativity, and maintaining artisanal values in a rapidly changing world. Each product and space that Blue Ocean creates is not only beautiful – but also has soul, a story to tell, and the ability to touch the hearts of the beholder.
